Very nice coat. I found it to run true to size. The way that the arms are cut and that the hood falls. I can understand why some feel it runs small but for a proportionally built person. It will fit. If you have really large arms, it may be a little tight in that area. I ordered my regular size and it fits like I can layer a med-light sweater under it. The label reads 62 wool 38 poly and has a 100 poly liner. It is soft not scratchy at all and seems like it will be easily warm enough to wear in 30-40 degree temperatures. The charcoal is a rich med/dark. With the hood over the shoulders it is very Olivia Pope like and is cute with the hood up or off the shoulders and looking more traditional wrap w/hood style. Can be dressed up or down. I got this at an excellent price which makes it even better and I am very pleased!I felt a need to write a review because I was so torn in buying this. I will tell you I absolutely love it! Some of my concerns were :- Many wrote about the reverse pocket… Mine was OK and normal- Sizing. I am 5 foot 6inches and about 148 pounds and because of the reviews went with an XL. I am so glad I listened. The hood fits perfectly with a little bit to hang over your head and then when it's down it also just looks so sleek and classy but could be worn every day as well as dressed up. It is definitely not too big at all!- For it being a wrap coat, will it stay on? It totally does ...the belt secures it great and it is very warm! Hope this helps!The coat met all my expectations. It is soft, not too heavy, drapes beautifully and fits well. I was able to adjust the collar without an issue. The sleeves are good length, not too short as another review mentioned. I live in New England, and I expect this coat to serve me well during the winter, as well as late fall and early spring. It may not be suitable for really cold, and/or snowy weather, especially if you have to walk a lot. I bought a Medium, and I am 5'4, 145 lb, athletic build, and Medium fits me well. However, if you are planning to wear a really bulky sweater underneath, or multiple layers, I would suggest to go up a size.While the coat fits, the lining feels a bit snug in some parts of the upper arm. Not sure if it's the coat or just my shape. Coat is heavy but should be nice and warm for Idaho winters. there are no buttons and the collar will make a large hood. I think I finally found the coat I was looking for.Absolutely love this coat! The color is a deep purple, and it is heavy enough for winter. The sizing is a little temperamental, though, in that I ordered Coat One. Coat One fit perfectly but had a stain, so I ordered a replacement. The replacement, Coat Two, fit much too snugly, so I returned that one, too. I ordered Coat Three, though, and that fit perfectly again with no stain. So don't be afraid to try on and return.The coat is fully lined, pretty heavy, and it feels quite luxurious. The only negative is the wool picks up a lot of lint, cat fur, etc. Otherwise, it is perfect, and I've received numerous compliments.Bring me some elbow-length gloves and give me bangs and call me "LIV"! This coat is soooo nice! At first I was unsure because I'm busty and it ALMOST looked like a bath robe, however both my fashionista mom and husband agreed it was very sophisticated and cinched my wasit. It may get lint on it over time, but I will make sure to take it to the cleaners and update if this happens.I am so excited that I finally own this jacket! I ordered the eggplant color in a small (I’m a standard size 6, sometimes 4 if that helps). It is beyond flattering! The tie is actually sew into the back of the jacket, so no worrying about having uneven sides or losing the belt. The collar is gorgeous and I feel like I just walked off some kind of runway. So happy with the fit, color, and style. Great purchase!Completely in love with this coat EXCEPT the pocket on the right was sewn in incorrectly, facing backwards (essentially I have to either not put my hand in the right pocket, or bend my hand backwards to put it in the pocket). Poor QA on this one.At the end of the season I'll probably go back and add a little button to hold it together above the belt, but other than that I love it! I constantly get compliments, and I love the ability to pull it up around my neck when the wind is strong, or put the hood up when its raining, without the obvious look of a hood.The materials are lovely, the lining is smooth and the wool is thick, however, I was extremely disappointing that the lining of the pockets came undone in a week, and that I had spare threads on my sleeves. I really enjoy the tahari aesthetic, wish they didn't use such cheap labor. Do not recommend unless you're a decent tailor.A gift Size L, right size except shoulders and arms are odd. Had another try it, same thing. It feels like the wrong end of the sleeves were sewn into the shoulder....otherwise a nice quality coat, which is why I picked it as a gift. Love the big shawl or hood like collar. Something amiss w this. Perhaps ok for skinny arm women...
